Understanding your vision, budget, and long-term goals for your home.
Ground-up reconstruction for homeowners rebuilding after the Eaton Fire — not damage restoration. Licensed, fixed-price, and built around California's disaster-rebuild protections.
Altadena's housing stock spans Craftsman bungalows from the early 1900s, Spanish Revival and Tudor homes from the 1920s and '30s, and mid-century and Ranch homes built into the foothills through the '60s — from the flats of Lower Altadena to the canyon and hillside lots near the base of the mountains. A full rebuild that respects what made the original home work, on the lot you already know, is what we build.
Altadena is unincorporated Los Angeles County — there's no city hall, no city building department. Rebuild permits go through LA County Public Works, Building and Safety, a different process and a different office than a Pasadena rebuild uses. A like-for-like rebuild — same footprint, or up to 10% / 200 sq ft larger — skips current Zoning Code review entirely and gets an expedited first review in 10 business days.
We understand this process isn't just about construction — it's about moving forward after loss with clarity and confidence.
We are compassionate toward homeowners who have gone through difficult circumstances. Our goal is not just to rebuild structures, but to help you move forward with a clear plan and a team you can rely on.
Committed to Altadena's rebuild, we focus on one thing for homes lost in the fire: full rebuilds. Ground-up reconstruction, once your lot is cleared. We don't perform fire damage restoration — smoke, soot, or water mitigation work on a structure that's still standing is work for restoration specialists, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than take on work outside what we do.
We work closely with you to stay aligned with your budget, timeline, and long-term goals. Every project is handled with attention to detail, transparency, and respect for your investment.
A genuine commitment to doing the job right — on time, on budget, and without shortcuts.
We're here to support you every step of the way, from planning to completion, with a process that's clear, efficient, and built around your needs.
Many homeowners we talk to are wary of contractors right now, and after what Altadena has been through, that caution is fair. These aren't our policies — they're California law, applying to any residential rebuild in a declared disaster area under CSLB rules. We build every estimate around them:
Free consultation. Honest answers. Zero obligation.
What Altadena homeowners actually ask us about rebuilding after the Eaton Fire.
No. We do full rebuilds only — ground-up reconstruction once a lot has been cleared. We don't perform fire damage restoration (smoke, soot, or water mitigation on a structure that's still standing), which is typically handled by separately certified restoration specialists.
Altadena is unincorporated Los Angeles County, so permitting goes through LA County Public Works, Building and Safety — not a city department, and not the same office that handles a Pasadena rebuild. A like-for-like rebuild (same footprint and size, or up to 10% / 200 sq ft larger, whichever is greater) is exempt from current Zoning Code review and qualifies for expedited plan review: 10 business days for the first review, 5 business days for each round after that.
California provides a seven-business-day cancellation right for qualifying home-solicitation contracts to repair or restore a residence damaged by a declared disaster. The right depends on the circumstances of the contract; review its cancellation notice before signing.
It's commonly reported that Eaton Fire settlements are falling short of actual rebuild costs. We give you a clear, fixed-price bid up front so you know exactly where that stands against your settlement before you commit to anything.
We guide you through every step from planning to completion with clarity and communication.
